Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our services

1. Membership Terms

By becoming a member of the National Social Security Workers Union (NSSAWU), you agree to abide by the following terms:

1.1 Eligibility

  • Must be a current or former employee in the social security sector
  • Must provide accurate personal and employment information
  • Must maintain good standing with monthly contributions

1.2 Membership Rights

  • Right to participate in union activities and elections
  • Right to access union resources and benefits
  • Right to representation in workplace disputes
  • Right to vote on collective bargaining agreements

1.3 Membership Obligations

  • Regular payment of membership dues
  • Adherence to union constitution and bylaws
  • Participation in union activities when possible
  • Maintenance of professional conduct

2. Services and Benefits

2.1 Representation Services

NSSAWU provides representation in workplace disputes, collective bargaining, and legal matters related to employment rights.

2.2 Training and Development

Members have access to various training programs, workshops, and professional development opportunities.

2.3 Legal Support

Legal assistance is provided for employment-related cases, subject to the union's case acceptance criteria.

3. Financial Terms

3.1 Membership Dues

  • Dues are payable monthly
  • Rates are determined by the union's executive committee
  • Payment methods include payroll deduction and direct payment

3.2 Refund Policy

Membership dues are non-refundable except in cases of administrative error.

Important: Failure to pay membership dues for three consecutive months may result in suspension of membership benefits.

4. Code of Conduct

4.1 Professional Behavior

Members are expected to maintain professional conduct in all union-related activities and communications.

4.2 Confidentiality

Members must maintain confidentiality of sensitive union information and member data.

4.3 Non-Discrimination

NSSAWU is committed to providing an inclusive environment free from discrimination.

5. Termination of Membership

5.1 Voluntary Termination

Members may resign by submitting a written notice to the union office.

5.2 Involuntary Termination

Membership may be terminated for:

  • Violation of union constitution
  • Non-payment of dues
  • Professional misconduct
  • False information provided during registration

6. Privacy and Data Protection

NSSAWU is committed to protecting member data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Please refer to our separate Privacy Policy for detailed information.

7. Amendments to Terms

NSSAWU reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes through appropriate channels.

8. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Zimbabwe.
